Windham’s Veterans Memorial on the Town Common Pavers for Sale
The Town Common Beautification Committee is focusing on the development of a Veterans Memorial section on the Windham Town Common. The Committee is restoring the area that was established in 1985 that honors Veterans.
We are selling Honoree Pavers that will be part of a paver pattern that will create a hardscape area approximately 30’x24’ encompassing the existing 1985 Memorial, the flagpole, the fire pit, and the new memorial that will be going in soon by an Eagle Scout.
The pavers are being sold for $250 each. They can be purchased in Honor of a Military Veteran, living or deceased, who served or is currently serving. Pavers can be purchased by Windham Residents, Windham Town Employees, and Windham business owners. (The honoree does not have to be a current/former Windham Resident.) Pavers will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis, with a deadline of September 6, 2018. (Non-residents wishing to purchase a paver will be put on a waiting list.) The hope is to have these installed by the end of September of this year.
To purchase a paver, you must fill out a paver order form and return it with payment to the Recreation Office. If you have any questions, please contact the Windham Recreation Office at 965-1208 or by email at Recreation@WindhamNH.gov Forms are available at the Town Hall as well as the Recreation Office, and by email. (Payment is via check/cash only.)
