The Windham Community Garden Program is in its 3rd year of operation and has been created to be used by participants from Windham and the surrounding communities to plant flowers, fruits, and vegetables within individual gardening plots.
The Community Garden is located at 122 North Lowell Road, and has been developed through a public-private partnership with Crossing Life Church.
A Program Kick-Off event took place in June 2015 and you can view the photo gallery from the kick-off event.
A big thank you to the businesses and residents that donated (PDF) to help make the Community Garden a success.
A special thanks goes out to local resident Julie Sheahen who took on the task of designing, building and installing a kiosk sign, tending a garden plot to benefit those that are food insecure and developing a community garden cookbook (PDF) as part of her Girl Scout Gold Star Project. You can read more about this project (page 3).
